The event aims to bolster energy experts’ capacity to swiftly respond to potential energy infrastructure disruptions during military aggression. Utilizing a Virtual Laboratory, unique software, and simulated scenarios a preparation for rapid reaction and maintenance will be done. The primary goal is equipping professionals with advanced skills to counteract potential shutdowns, ensuring energy infrastructure resilience against mass disruptions.
This workshop initiative will involve experts from countries that have experienced attacks on critical infrastructure during conflicts. Leveraging their invaluable experience, invited experts will contribute knowledge applicable to other nations’ energy strategies development, facilitating a broader implementation of best practices in energy security.
The main reason for this event is the need for communication and the exchange of practical experiences related to broadly understood today’s emerging different security and cybersecurity issues in the context of NATO’s strategic objectives. With the help of different IT tools and solutions, it is possible to simulate, early indicate and predict different consequences of attacks and threats having a major influence on civilians. Today, in a highly developed society special attention is usually paid to selected elements of critical infrastructure, but taking into account the fact that in most cases this infrastructure is strongly dependent on an uninterrupted energy supply, energy security becomes a very important challenge.
Thanks to the event a common international effort will be made to meet emerging security challenges with special attention paid to energy security.
